About Us
Matthew Spigelman
Matthew specializes in historic archaeology and materials analysis. His field experience extends throughout the Mid Atlantic and New England regions, as well as projects abroad. As a materials analyst he has worked on ceramic production and other aspects of industrial archaeology. Matthew meets and exceeds the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards for Archaeology (36 CFR Part 61), is listed on the Register of Professional Archaeologists, is a member of the Society for American Archaeology, and carries the HAZWOPER 40 hour certification.
Julie Anidjar
Julie specializes in Historic and Pre-Contact archaeology of the eastern United States. Her field experience includes excavations of coastal sites in the Southeast as well as historic sites in the New York City area. As a zooarchaeologist, her research has consisted of analyzing both faunal remains and artifacts from across various contexts. Julie meets and exceeds the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards for Archaeology (36 CFR Part 61), is listed on the Register of Professional Archaeologists, and is a member of the Society for American Archaeology, the Massachusetts Archaeological Society, and the International Council for Archaeozoology.
Arielle Harris
Arielle is an architectural historian and preservation planner. Her project experience includes research and writing for local and national register nominations, GIS mapping/analysis for cultural resources, and Section 106 consultation. She is well-versed in historic research and documentation techniques in New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and New England. Arielle meets and exceeds the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards for Architectural History (36 CFR Part 61), and is a member of the Association for Preservation Technology, Society of Architectural Historians, National Trust for Historic Preservation, and The Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia.
Sarah Bergh
Sarah specializes in Pre-contact and Historic archaeology of the eastern United States. Her field experience includes excavation of pre-Hispanic and contact-period sites on the Southeast coast, as well as historic sites in the Northeast and Italy. As a zooarchaeologist, her research focuses on human-environment interactions and she has experience analyzing vertebrate and invertebrate fauna from historic and pre-contact sites. Sarah also has experience with collections management. She has worked in art and natural history museums, as well as setting up the Vermont Archaeology Center’s collections rooms, database, and accessioning procedures. She is listed on the Register of Professional Archaeologists and is a member of the Society for American Archaeology and the Eastern States Archaeological Federation.
